Why PitchLine exists

Make the margin visible, not bigger

Every bookmaker line has a margin priced into it that most bettors never see — it's what quietly turns a fair coin flip into a long-run loss. PitchLine's mission is narrow and concrete: publish the real math behind every match, in public, so if you choose to bet, you're doing it with the same information the house has, not less. We're not here to tell you whether to bet — only to make sure the odds were never the only side of the story you got to see.

How the numbers happen

No live bookmaker feed — a statistical model built from public results and kept honest against the real market.

Defence — data in

Results, from more than one source

Historical scores are pulled from several free public providers rather than one, so a single provider's gaps or errors don't become PitchLine's gaps or errors.

Midfield — the model

A blended Poisson model

Each source builds its own attack/defence rating per team; PitchLine takes a weighted consensus across sources rather than trusting any single feed.

Attack — odds out

Checked against the real market

Where a source includes real closing bookmaker odds, PitchLine compares its own numbers against them, so drift gets caught rather than shipped.

Leagues covered

Only leagues with a reliable free data source make the list. Coverage grows as that changes — not before.

Premier League Championship La Liga Bundesliga Serie A Ligue 1 Eredivisie Primeira Liga Campeonato Brasileiro Série A UEFA Champions League FIFA World Cup

Not on the list yet: most of South America, Africa, and Asia's domestic leagues — the free sources PitchLine runs on don't reach them at the quality this needs. Wider coverage means a paid data provider, which changes the pricing math, so it's being added deliberately rather than promised early.

Tonight's odds board

Free to view while the model's still proving itself. The $5/month plan starts once it's running properly.

Worth knowing

Are these real bookmaker odds?

No. PitchLine calculates them from historical results using a statistical model — it isn't scraped from a sportsbook. The model is checked regularly against real closing odds to keep it realistic, but it's an estimate, not a live market price.

What should I use it for?

Comparing PitchLine's numbers against what a bookmaker is offering, for research and your own judgment — not as a guarantee of anything. PitchLine isn't a licensed bookmaker and doesn't take bets.

Why only these leagues?

Every league on the list is backed by a free public data source PitchLine can verify. Rather than claim global coverage and quietly guess at the rest, the list stays honest about where the data is actually solid.
